The Mayor has given Rocky Point the green light to re-open our beaches. The city of Peñasco will open phase six on August 1, opening the town to tourism and the beaches with appropriate social distancing and use of face masks:
“Hours: Exercising along the beach will be possible from 6 am – 8 am, as well as 5 pm – 7 pm. Recreational use of beaches will be from 8 am – 7 pm. The use of masks is mandatory for entry to the beach and when interacting with beach vendors or others. Mask use not necessary in water, or within individual space on the beach. Glass bottles are not permitted. Groups must not exceed 10 in accordance with Federal social distancing recommendations.”
When you arrive at the outskirts of town, you will pass through a “sanitary fence”, where temperatures of the occupants will be taken and a sanitary spray administered.
- 10% of reservations at each hotel and condominium resort to be given random rapid test, once entry and lodging details confirmed at Health Filter. (Check signs when nearing Health Filter in order to pick appropriate lane)
- Tests administered by Red Cross staff and may have a cost of approximately 700 pesos (please plan to pay with a card about $30USD)
Las Palmas will be implementing social distancing policies during check-in and check-out, and other interactions with guests, staff, and the local community. We will implement enhanced cleaning and disinfecting procedures of all rentals before and after all guest stays. All our properties are sanitized and certified under auspices of Mexican health authorities.
